HOSPITAL PLAYLIST SEASON 1 (슬기로운 의사생활 S1): A LOOK BACK ON E07-E12

 D-day today and yeah I am hustling on this post, well that's the reality of life. We got caught up with unexpected things. 

Anyways let me give you my thoughts about the E07 - E12 but before that let's have a quick recap [through this bullet notes] of E07- E12 

E07

• Songhwa asked Chihong to be the lead surgeon in an INTRAVENTRICULAR HEMORRAGHE (IVH) patient.
• The struggles of Min-ha when one of her co-resident was slacking off and trying to get away with the work.
• The golf-playing issue. 
• That EPIC car scene, where the lacking 5 is pestering Junwan about the girl he is dating. 
• Seokhyeong asking a piece of advice if he's going to tell his mom about his conversation with his father's mistress.
• Seokhyeong's father confinement (which is a way to get rid of the legal issues) 
• Ikjun's conversation with the Liver Transplant patient in regards to the cheating husband
• GyeoUl asking Jeong Won to have dinner with her, but Jeong Won lied 

E08

• The residents are having tough times and were getting into trouble 
• Ik-Jun's hand got mildly burned 
• Seok Hyeong complimented Min-ha  
• Junwan accepted the CS Head Position 
• Junwan didn't attend the band practice because he went to a patient's funeral 

E09

• Seokhyeong's mom got admitted to the hospital and the lacking 5 are taking turns in watching her 
• Ik-Jun and Song Hwa went out to eat Sujebi 
• Dr. Bong and Ik-Jun talks about Gyeoul's boyfriend
• Ik-Sun was planning to pursue a doctorate program abroad 
• Ik-Jun reflecting on his life and understanding that there are things that he doesn't know
• The lacking 5 had an audience during their band practice 
• Ik-Jun visits Ik-sun at the military camp

E10

• NS department had lunch and while eating they talk about dating a colleague 
• Jong - Su and Rosa talks about their children
• The Daddy Long Legs was passed to Song Hwa 
• Ik-Jun asked Gyeoul to pretend that her brother was her boyfriend
• Song Hwa takes care of Uju because Ik-Jun needs to go to the hospital due to a patient 
• While Ik-jun and Song Hwa are eating breakfast they talked about what makes them happy in life 

E11

• Seokhyeong's father died
• NS department had dinner and Ik-Jun joined that dinner 
• Song- Hwa plans to have a year break at Sok Cho 

E12

• The business of Seokhyeong's father was passed down to him 
•  Song Hwa is giving a piece of advice to the residents 
• Ik-Jun's confession at Sok-Cho 
• The returned package from Ik-sun 
• The ex-wife of Seok Hyeong called 
• Jeongwon kissed Gyeoul

Thoughts: 

 

There are 4 points to cover that would be (1) That Breakfast of Ik-Jun and Song Hwa (2) The NS Dinner (3) The complexity of Seokhyeong (4) The SOK-CHO CONFESSION (5) Win Gar Kiss 

THAT BREAKFAST OF IKJUN AND SONGHWA & SOK - CHO CONFESSION

That breakfast scene is the first confession of Ik-jun to Song Hwa but honestly, I won't call it a confession instead he is just being honest to Song - Hwa. 

Because of that I realized something about Song Hwa, and that is he knew that Ik-Jun liked him. 

The question is. 

 Is this the first time she knew about it? or does she knew it already? 

My guess, I think she knew that Ik-jun has a feeling for him even before. 

It is impossible for Song Hwa that she didn't feel something. She knew even before that Ik-Jun liked her and to be honest I think she would like to give it a try. It's just that some unforeseeable things happen which made things complicated. 

During the Sok-Cho scene, we knew that Ik-Jun asked for advice, and Song - Hwa knew that she was that friend that is why we saw a contrast to what she did to the resident and Ik-jun. 

For Ik-jun she didn't answer. 

Here's a thing, Song - Hwa is a type of person (basing on her s1 action) who will give an outright answer. If she just wants to be friends with Ik-jun then she will say to Ik-Jun to remain friends. I know that there is a possibility that she may answer No, but the fact that she remained silent and didn't answer instantly. Even that NO may mean that there is going into her mind which is related to Ik-jun and that is the possibility that Ik-jun was her first love and she was deeply broken hearted because of Ik-jun. 

And that's the perspective I wanted to see to Songhwa, I wanted to know the reason why her past relationships don't work and why she could forget them easily. 

NS Dinner (with Ikjun) 

I wanted to start this part by asking 

"Does Ik-jun wants to confess to Song - Hwa at that moment?"  

OF COURSE NOT! when Seon Bin asked about him and Song - Hwa he said NO COMMENT 

He didn't answer No, because he liked Songhwa, and it will be a discredit if he will answer that but if he says YES, it will make Song Hwa uncomfortable so he choose the NO COMMENT path and add humor by critiquing Seon Bin's way of speaking to him. 

That is why we don't see any awkwardness with Song Hwa after that except of course when Chi Hong suddenly became a black rose 흑기사 leading to Ik-jun's sudden confession of feelings.

Seokhyeong's Complexity 

Seok- Hyeong's rejection of Min-ha's confession was understandable, and I do get that part that he wants to enjoy himself and doesn't want to bother anyone. 

Being in a relationship is not simple, it takes a lot of effort and I do believe that before pursuing any romance you should know yourself and enjoy it first. 

FOR SEOK- HYEONG also, he should deal with his past first.

I won't deny the fact that I enjoyed that moment, but if there's one thing I am curious about is how did Jeong Won end up on that decision? 

I know it's not entirely because of her, the kids played a big role in it. But I just want it to be unveiled together with his feelings for Gyeoul
