HOSPITAL PLAYLIST SEASON 2 (슬기로운 의사생활 S2): ON TEASER & POSTER

On the 13th of May 2021, TVN released the 1st Teaser Video for HOSPITAL PLAYLIST 2 and, it was great! and I still can't believe that they had released it! I thought it will be on, 17th of May since it will be marked as a month before the official series airing. 

The series will be aired on June 17, 2021.  

With that release, I would like to give my thoughts also, included here are my thoughts on 1st poster released for the Hospital Playlist 2. 

  

Let's start with the video. 

• I love how they emphasize that the hospital playlist is a slice of life drama touching the ordinary lives of the doctors 

• I really can feel the husband/family man vibes to Junwan. In season 1, we were left hanging if bidulgi will be together but, the teaser released showed a very contrasting atmosphere on that aspect. Also, one of my moots in twitter saw the ring on Junwan's hand so, yeah I believe 
  
  

  IKSUN WILL RETURN 

• On Jeongwon's happiness. Men, I can't help but smile when I saw Jeongwon he seemed happy and very blooming.
  
  
  
  
  Of course, it will not be always like that, it is very unrealistic that they won't have bad days. Despite that, they will be able to make it work, and for me that is love. Winter - Garden has differences, just like in the song played in the BGM

Part of being a human is forgiving mistakes, learning, and leaning to each other.

• For Seokhyeong. To be honest, nothing changed which somewhat I expected because he still needs to sort out things especially with his ex-wife. 

• We see in the background; Seokhyeong and Ikjun sitting in the garden place of Yulje and that's very telling. For me, it emphasizes that the two will have a heart-to-heart talk; It could be for Songhwa since they both have liked Song-Hwa or it could be Ik-Jun sharing his thoughts about Min-ha. But, one thing is for sure it will be heartfelt. 

Seokhyeong and Ik-Jun's moments whether solo or "Ik-Seok" is always heartfelt. It's not that Jeongwon, Songhwa, and Junwan don't have those heartfelt moments but Ik-Seok has more impact since they have the most introspective moments compared with other lead casts. 

An example for Seokhyeong would be his reasoning on why he doesn't want to be the CEO of his father's company 

For Ik-Jun, the best introspective moment is when he realized that he doesn't know everything, and when he went to Ik-Sun. 

• Listening to the BGM (Human by The Hunts) I was touched by the effort the team made; the song is not popular since the group who sung it was an indie-folk band. 
  
  

The thing that I love about the song choice is how it covers the 4 - Ships. HOW THEY WON'T GIVE UP ON EACH OTHER ESPECIALLY WHEN THE JOURNEY IS BECOMING ROUGH (Oh ShinLee, please keep sailing the 4 ships IKSONG, GOM-GOM, BIDULGI, and WINTERGARDEN) 

• Speaking of ships, we have seen Ikjun and Song Hwa walking and they are both smiling. Some say it was in Sokcho. Possible that Ik-Jun visited Song Hwa at Sokcho, but why would he wear a coat? But I don't want to think about it. I'm just happy that they are in one frame, but the biggest question is what is the meaning of that? does Song Hwa already answer? Was it a yes or no? My answer to that is yes she already has an answer and maybe that walk happened before they had the band rehearsal on episode 12. But I can't answer if it's a yes or no. 
  
  
  
  
  
  

The thing is, I am hopeful that it's a YES and, you know what, as what PD Shin in one of his interview; 

“There are some parts that are good to know beforehand, but I think there are some distracting parts. If you know about a love line ahead of time, your gaze could change. In the beginning, Lee Ik Joon was not divorced and Chae Song Hwa had a boyfriend. If they knew about the love line, their emotions could have subtly shown. From the perspective of the actor, not knowing can be easier with less to worry about.”

He added that while some viewers found their relationship to be a surprise, all the necessary hints were there, such as the way Ik Joon has his hand on Song Hwa’s shoulder during their first meeting while she blushes. - (soompi.com) 

That is why, in episode 1, I have told you that I was team Ik-Song since episode 1. Also, if you are going to base it on Episode 6, the one who went to the hospital and accompany Song Hwa

Moving on, I think it is good that episode 1 of season 2 will reveal that Ik- Jun and Song- Hwa are an item already (couple), and as we move along the episodes we see the process of how Song Hwa contemplated on her answer to Ik-Jun and how they where in the past. 

Sorry [not sorry] but it will be such a nuisance if we will still guess on her answer, and let's face it! Song - Hwa is a straight talker she will tell right there and then if she will reject you or not. Just like what happened to Seok Hyeong and Chi Hong, but why does she need to make Ik-jun wait if her answer will be no right? That is why I am optimistic. 

Now, I want to talk about the poster. 

• The poster depicts Nostalgia by making it look like a scrapbook, and I do love the earth-toned color theme they used. 
• For the crop -image I want to give my interpretation to it. 
  
  
  
  
  
  

1. IKJUN x SEOKHYEONG one of the most pivotal moments in Season 1 is the confessions of these two to Song Hwa.

Seok Hyeong in Episode 2, spill the tea that he liked Song Hwa before, and he did confess but she rejected it and remained as friends. For Ik-Jun we know that in the past he also liked Song Hwa and during her birthday he was supposed to give her a ring but then he found out (while he and Seok Hyeong are drinking) that Seok Hyeong confessed to Song Hwa 

Fast forward, Ik-Jun is now confessed to Song Hwa and is waiting for her answer. 

2. JEONG WON x SONG HWA The transferring of Daddy Long Leg

3. JUNWAN x SONGHWA x IKJUN I do think it is related to Bidulgi hand tricks that Junwan and Song Hwa had seen 

4. JUNWAN x JEONG WON x SONGHWA They are the rhythm section of the band plus I just notice that Song Hwa has similarities to Jun Wan and Jeong Won that is why when you see the three there's a feeling of being brothers and sisters. 

Songhwa like Junwan is a fast eater 

Songhwa like Jeong Won loves to camp and have nature tripping 

So yeah! that is why every time Song Hwa interacts with any of the two, I feel like she's interacting with her brothers. 

5. JEONG WON x SEOKHYEONG They are childhood friends

6. JUNWAN IN SOLO This one is reminiscent of episode 12 if Ik-Sun will RETURN

By no means this is an analysis, I am just writing what I want and feel when I saw the video and the poster.
