HOSPITAL PLAYLIST SEASON 1 (슬기로운 의사생활 S1): A LOOK BACK ON E02

The things I've written here are not the entirety of the episode and, with that, there are things that I've missed on these notes and thoughts and, THE NOTES IS NOT ARRANGED CHRONOLOGICALLY though, I am trying, but, please don't rely on this one.

BULLET NOTES  

• New consultant at NS ... Prof Min

• Director Ju talks about Prof Min and asked Song Hwa to do a surgery

• While Prof. Min is eating someone is filming them for a documentary 

•    During the rounds, a patient's guardian complained to Prof. Min because they are not being attended to and, Seokmin was the Resident in charge of that patient, and because of that prof. Min scolded him BIG TIME 

• Jeongwon arrived in the ER rushing and, that time the ER Physician on Duty is Bae and, he explained to Jeongwon what happened and the case of the patient 

• Ik-Jun before going on duty attended to the needs of his child. Like brushing his teeth and making him his breakfast and, Imo was not around that time because she was on vacation 

• Songhwa was talking to her Mom about the break - up and, after talking to her mom, Ik - Jun appeared in front of her 

• Then after some cafeteria scene of Junwan x Seokhyeong and patients rounds of Song Hwa we saw Junwan scolding his chief resident (Do Jae Hak) 

• Jae Hak went to the resident's room and talked to the medical student (Yun Bok and Hong Do) 

• During the ad-con (admission conference) 

**it is like a small group discussion between the consultants, residents, interns, and clerks where they talk about how they could manage the patient (in surgery, they talk about the possible surgical procedures that could be done to the patient) 

Seok Min is convincing Song Hwa to be the surgeon in charge to the patient, and it is because he thinks Prof. Min will mess up with the surgery

 

• Going back to Jae Hak and the medical students, he talks about the different department in surgery

• Seok Min and Chi Hong talks about Songhwa and, it is where we hear the nickname of Song Hwa ----  "Ghost" 

• In the GS department, the surgeons are busy convincing Jang Gyeoul to assist during the surgery.  

 pick me, pick me up... 

• In the E.R., the personnel is waiting for the arrival of the patient and, it was a pediatric case.

• In the canteen Ik - Jun was serving meal in the cafeteria because there is something urgent that came up to his friend the cafeteria lady. 

• When it comes to distribution he decided that if you are a professor you should get less while the medical student and, the residents should have the most 

• Back to the ER when the patient arrived, after getting the info, and, having a bedside assessment to the patient, Jang explained the condition of the patient to the parent and, how bad it was 

Jeong won arrived in the hospital and, he hears Jang explanation to the patient and, after [Jeong Won] re-explained to the parent the condition he scolded Jang on the manner she talks. 

• Another NS ad-con happened and, on that ad-con, we saw Yun Bok and Hong Do introduce themselves

• After the Ad-con, and, inside Song Hwa's clinic (office), we saw Seok Min still convincing Song Hwa to take the surgery and, because of that convincing, Song Hwa got pissed off and they decided to go to Junwan's clinic (office) 

• On Junwan's clinic (office): Song Hwa nagged Jun Wan on why he doesn't tell her that her boyfriend is cheating

• Fast forward to dinner, we could see on that scene the dynamics of the 5 

• After dinner, while in the taxi, Seokmin finally convinced Songhwa to do the surgery but then, she will not be the lead surgeon, only 1st assist and after she talks to Seok Min [via hanphone] Jun Wan texted her asking if she was hurt by that 

• Before assisting Prof. Min, Song Hwa finished her surgery first and, on that scene, it was revealed that Yun Bok and Hong Do are twins

• During the assistance of Song Hwa to Prof Min's surgery, it was revealed that the reason why Seok - Min is begging Song Hwa is because of his thesis 

• While the boys are waiting for Song Hwa to arrive Ik- Jun and Jun Wan complained to Jeong Won about why they don't have their room. In the middle of that complaining, Junwan got a call, and because, of that Ik-Jun and Jeong Won talked about residents 

• While talking, Dr. Bong of the E.R. department barged in and asked Jeong Won about the daddy long legs

•  Jeong Won and Dr. Bong went to E.R because Dr. Bong got a call from Bae about the patient whose legs was filled with maggots  

• Dr. Bae and Nurse Hui got horrified after seeing the swarm of maggots in the Patients legs but when Jang came, she just put on her gloves and picked the maggots one by one, and when Dr. Bong saw it, he just can't believe it and, uttered that she's quite something. 
• Jeongwon also saw that and, he silently watched her 

• As the episode ends, we saw the 5 at the funeral, on episode 1 the husband of Rosa and the father of Jeongwon died but in this episode, the wife of Chairman Ju died

• The biggest vouchsafed of this episode is when Chairman Ju asked How did nothing happen between you guys, and, everyone was shaken especially when SEOKHYEONG REVEALED THAT HE HAS FEELINGS FOR SONGHWA AND THAT HE CONFESSED 

Thoughts: 

This will be a short thought because the majority of the scenes are about patient care and, of course, it should be - it's a medical drama after all. 

I was shocked when Seok Hyeong revealed that he has a feeling for Song Hwa and, that he confessed before. 

Dude is it going to be a love square?! That's what I asked and thought after watching the episode because Jun Wan was still on the race that time especially we saw him confronting directly Dr. Jang (ex-bf of Song Hwa) 

I'm team still team #Ikjun that time 'cause I know he'll be divorced but, if ever that it doesn't happen I will choose Seok Hyeong over Jun Wan most especially, they have the next most domesticated scene after Song Hwa x Ikjun and actually when Ik-jun was not yet introduced, I thought that he's the husband. 

Now, let's talk about Jang Gyeoul the most controversial character in the first part due to her coldness and, straightforward character. 

On the hadeutori episode at Na PD's Channel Shiboya ... It was very clear that Jang Gyeoul character is not bad 

At episode 1 where she had a conversation with Ik-Jun. Her character doesn't stand out, compared to this episode most especially her scene with Jeong Won and that maggot picking scene. 

During the time that Jeong Won was scolding her, I felt the tension and, I know the tension will not be left for nothing. 

I have said (in my first previous post) that Jeong won will not pursue priesthood and, I am thinking who is that girl that will shake him and, here comes episode 2 and, we saw their interaction and how Jeong won looked at Jang Gyeoul while picking the maggots, he did have some deep thinking. 

Now, for this episode, I am still not a winter gardener, I mean, I still have doubts especially that Dr. Bae was there and, that maybe she is the one. 

So yeah that's my wise thoughts for Episode 2
